(July 5, 2000) - Streaming21 Inc., the global provider of next generation streaming technology solutions for the emerging broadband market, announced today that global streaming media and broadband pioneers Doris Yee, general partner at iGlobe Partners, Gwong-Yih Lee, senior director and general manager at Cisco Systems, and Hans G. Schreck, investment manager at Techno Venture Management, now have seats on the company's board of directors.

The new board members are working closely with the Streaming21 executive team to shape the company's corporate strategy to penetrate global markets. Each board member brings deep regional expertise - Asia, Europe and the U.S. - that is accelerating the creation of strong cross-cultural partnerships.

Doris has over 18 years experience in engineering and technology investment. She is currently a general partner at iGlobe Partners. Before joining iGlobe Partners, Doris held senior management positions at the National Science and Technology Board (NSTB) of Singapore, a government agency promoting R&D and its commercialization. Prior to the NSTB, Doris spent seven years in research & development undertaking projects involving security and communication technologies at Chartered Electronics Industries (a member of the Singapore Technologies Group) and at Telerate, a U.S. financial data services company. Doris earned her Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with Honors in 1985 and MBA in 1992 from the National University of Singapore.

Gwong-Yih Lee is a distinguished entrepreneur, leader and visionary who has established strong partnerships in the emerging telecom market. Lee is currently a senior director and general manager at Cisco Systems in the Multiservice Switching Business Unit. Prior to Cisco Systems, Lee was founder, president and CEO of TransMedia Communications, which builds innovative products that capitalize on the tremendous opportunities created by the convergence of data, voice and video. TransMedia was acquired by Cisco Systems in September of 1999 for approximately $500 million. In his previous success, Lee was founder, president and CEO of Digicom Systems, a company devoted to high speed modem communications applications in both software algorithms and hardware. Lee earned an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at New York State University.

Hans G. Schreck joins Streaming21's board with an impressive career in corporate finance and product planning. Schreck is currently an investment manager at Techno Venture Management (TVM), a Boston and Munich based venture fund. Schreck is also chairman of the supervisory board of PolyTrax Information Technology AG and TravelTrainment AG. Prior to joining TVM, Schreck was vice president and investment manager at Siemens Mustang Ventures, the corporate venture resource of Siemens’ Information and Communication Networks group. In this capacity he directed investments in several start-up companies in the U.S., including, Phone.com (Nasdaq: PHCM) and LightLogic Inc. Schreck holds six patents and he earned an M.S. degree from the Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK, and a Dipl.Ing. degree from Fachhochschule Darmstadt, Germany.
